Day 1 - Your Choice of Adventure

Option 1: Glenfinnan, Fort William & Loch Ness Loop:

  • Travel south from Inverness along the legendary Loch Ness, stopping at scenic viewpoints and the historic Fort Augustus.

  • Continue to Fort William, nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis. Stop at the Highland Soap Company for a browse and artisan coffee.

  • Visit the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct — a must-see for Harry Potter fans. Time it right, and you’ll catch the Jacobite Steam Train crossing the bridge.

  • Return via Loch Ness with the option to stop for dinner or local whisky at a traditional Highland inn.

Option 2: Isle of Skye Day Trip

  • Discover the magical Isle of Skye, famous for its dramatic landscapes and folklore.

  • Drive through the majestic Cuillin Mountains and visit the colourful harbour town of Portree for lunch.

  • Explore the otherworldly Trotternish Peninsula, including The Quiraing, Kilt Rock, and Old Man of Storr.

  • Optional stop at the Isle of Skye Brewery in Uig before returning to Inverness by early evening.

Visiting the breathtaking Glencoe Valley, trekking in Forbidden Forest, watching Hogwart's Express (Jacobite train) steaming through Glenfinnan Viaduct, driving through Cuillin Hills in Isle of Skye and taking a scenic drive along the North Coast 500 all the way up to Dunbeath Castle were experiences we will cherish forever. Our guide’s ability to share detailed historical context and local lore added depth and richness to these experiences, making them even more special. To bring in Scottish flavour, Emma brought for us local shortbreads, sugar tablets and even my favourite scotch Glenmorangie which she raised to me in a Glencarin whiskey glass on visiting the distillery in Tain.
