While the exhibition is not part of our tour, feel free to explore it at your leisure. We look forward to sharing this experience with you for approximately one hour.

St Mary's Eskadale Church
The historic St Mary’s Chapel is a cherished landmark nestled in the serene Eskadale countryside on the banks of the River Beauly. Built in 1827 by the 14th Lord Lovat, this chapel stands as a testament to the resilience of the Fraser and Chisholm clans, drawing visitors from around the globe to their ancestral lands. With its striking whitewashed exterior and grand design, it was a remarkable achievement for the Highlands at the time it was built. Explore the adjoining graveyards, where notable figures like Simon Fraser, the 25th clan chief, rest alongside his sons, honoring their legacy and sacrifice.

Clava Cairns
One of Scotland's most captivating prehistoric sites. These 3,000-year-old burial cairns, built by our ancestors, served as a location for rituals and burial activities during the Bronze Age. Often regarded as an inspiration for the standing stones featured in the acclaimed Outlander books and TV series. Clava Cairns invites you to step back in time and explore the mysteries of our past. Experience the rich history and cultural significance of this remarkable site.

Wardlaw Mausoleum
Another historic burial site of the Lovat Clan Chiefs. Built in 1634 for the Lovat Frasers and remodelled in 1722 by the old fox himself. It's inhabitants include Simon Lord Lovat the 'Old Fox' of the Jacobite Rebellion (Portrayed as the Grandfather of Outlander's Jamie Fraser). The remarkable structure was built onto the side of Kirkhill Parish Church. After falling into disrepair after the reformation, it underwent significant renovations and was reopened in 1998. From the tower, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the remnants of Lovat Castle and the beautiful Beauly Firth, while the nearby field stands as a reminder of theasers of Lovat's gatherings in times of strife. The Clan war-cry A'Mhorfhaich was taken from the fields name.

Clan Fraser and Mackenzie Lands
