Vehicle comfort, families and cleaning

Children's car seats can be provided free of charge where required. Please let us know the ages of any children travelling when you enquire, so we can plan the most suitable seating in advance.

We want every guest to feel comfortable and cared for during the day. For family tours, longer routes or guests who may be prone to travel sickness, we can provide small rubbish bags and discreet travel-sickness bags in the vehicle if needed.

A cleaning fee of £100 may be charged if the vehicle requires additional professional cleaning due to excessive mess. This only applies in unusual circumstances, and helps us keep the vehicle fresh, comfortable and ready for every private tour.

​

Tour length, extra time and longer days

A standard private full-day tour is usually around 8 hours, typically from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Where needed, a standard day can include up to around 9 hours. If you request extra time beyond that, additional time is usually charged at £100 per hour.

​

We do not charge extra if a day runs longer because of traffic, weather, road conditions, ferry disruption, cruise ship delays or circumstances outside our control.

 

Guide accommodation for multi-day tours

For some multi-day tours, especially point-to-point routes or tours outside our local area, guide accommodation expenses may apply.

​

Where required, guide accommodation is usually around £180 per night/day. This will be shown clearly in your quote.

​

If your route stays close to our home area near Inverness, guide accommodation may not be needed. We may also consider staying with your group if it works out better priced than the £180 per day standard rate. Guides would require their own private room with bathroom.

Where needed, monthly payment plans can be discussed and arranged through our WeTravel booking platform. These can be adjusted around your individual budget, travel dates and requirements, which can be especially helpful if you are booking well in advance and would prefer to spread the cost over time.

There is also an option to pay the 50% balance in cash on the first day of travel. Cash balance payments must be made in British pounds only.

Card fees
