Meet the team
Emma Macaulay
Emma Macaulay is a wife, mother, and proud Highlander, living in the Scottish Highlands with her husband, their daughter, and their little Dachshund, Benson, alongside a lively menagerie of animals including sheep, ducks, chickens, and a Shetland pony. She has always loved travel and exploration, balanced with an appreciation for the finer things in life.
Emma is proudly Scottish. Her father was from Muir of Ord, and her mother moved from Illinois, USA, to Scotland when she was eight. Travel has been a lifelong passion. For her honeymoon, she and her husband spent eight months touring Canada and the USA in their Dodge Caravan, from the Rocky Mountains to Niagara Falls, soaking up every moment of adventure and discovery.
After returning from maternity leave, Emma began her tour guiding career in Invergordon and quickly realised this was her calling. Sharing Scotland’s landscapes, history, and stories with guests brings her immense joy. Today, she operates Macaulay Luxury Travel full-time, offering bespoke experiences in two luxury 8-seater Mercedes V-Class vehicles, and for larger groups, arranging a small coach from a trusted local supplier.
Emma trained through HOSTGA, the Highlands of Scotland Tour Guide Association, which inspired her to create her own company focused on unique, high-quality, and luxury tours. Her goal is to provide multi-day journeys that go beyond sightseeing, leaving guests with lasting memories and a genuine connection to the Scottish Highlands.

Cash Macaulay
Cash Macaulay is a husband, father, and proud Highlander, originally from Caithness near John O'Groats. He grew up on a farm in the Wick area and trained as a pipe-fitter and welder, previously working at the Dounreay Nuclear Power Plant. Cash then spent 20 years in the Oil and Gas industry, and in his early 20s, he spent two years working on a large farm in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada.
He has a lifelong passion for tractors and maintains a personal collection of over 20 Ford County tractors. Cash also has a love for whisky, including rare collections of Dalmore and Johnnie Walker bottles.
For the past two years, Cash has been actively involved with Macaulay Luxury Travel, assisting with tours and occasionally leading day trips from Invergordon for cruise ship passengers or local tours around Inverness. His passion is sharing the real Scotland with guests, offering an authentic perspective on Highland life, history, and culture.
